District #11 of the Royal Arch Masons in the Province of Ontario and the Masons of the Prince Edward District of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario join together for a Divine Service at the St. Thomas Anglican Church in Belleville, Ontario
On this clear and sunny Sunday afternoon, the two fraternities having received special dispensation from Grand Chapter and from Grand Lodge, were able to come together for a joint service. By being able for both groups to wear their individual regalia, an impressive procession entered the Church.
Sponsored by the Royal Arch District #11, it gave a wonderful opportunity to blend the ‘Blue’ of the Master Masons with the ‘Scarlet’ of the Royal Arch and have their family members participate in their divine service.
The service was presided over by Re. Brad Beal, who managed to provide a stimulating description of the times and social difficulties faced by Jesus Christ and made it relevant as he drew a parallel by comparing it to the challenges of today. The service closed with a blessing and best wishes for peace.
The brethren and families were made welcome in the parish hall with a light refreshment of drinks and sandwiches.
